Background
Efterklang has worked with aircraft noise around Landvetter Airport in Gothenburg since the 1980s.
Assignment
For the airport environmental permit, noise assessments are carried out routinely to ensure regulatory compliance. In 2016/17 Efterklang conducted noise assessments on the most noise-exposed properties around the airport, approximately 190 houses. The assessments included control of construction and sound insulation. Action plans were created based on the assessments and calculations of noise level predictions, to ensure a comfortable sound environment indoors for the residents.
Result
With our delivery, the customer could estimate the total cost of proposed measures to achieve guideline values for indoor sound requirements.
