The old submarine hall in Malmö underwent a comprehensive refurbishment when the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, Försäkringskassan, needed a new office.
Assignment
The old industrial facility in Malmö was transformed into an activity-based office for 700 employees of Försäkringskassan.
On behalf of Wihlborgs, Efterklang developed innovative solutions for a functional office with a comfortable sound environment. A decorative, yet purposeful, feature is the large acoustic baffles around the office. These were manufactured to commemorate the facility’s history as a shipyard and at the same time create a comfortable acoustic environment.
Result
A modern office with zones for different activities, such as social areas, workplaces and restaurants. All areas offer a comfortable acoustic environment.
