Background
Folkets hus in Borås was built during the 1940’s. In order to meet the demands and usage of the modern days a refurbishment was carried out and completed in 2018. The building has a total area of 7500 sqm. It contains an exhibition hall, restaurant and café as well as a large dividable hall including balconies. The Borås Kongress today offers meeting spaces for as few as two people, conventions for a thousand delegates, exhibitions, gala dinners, lectures and concerts.
Assignment
Our assignment included a comprehensive refurbishment of the original building as well as a new-built of the congress building. Efterklang was awarded the assignment by the city of Borås to provide the full acoustic design including AV-design.
Result
Efterklang has contributed in making the rooms fully accessible for the variety of functions providing modern spaces fully fitted to meet the client and the public expectations.
